Who we are

LocalNetwork is a pan-India community for builders, designers, founders, and engineers - connecting through events, episodes, and conversations across cities.

Code of Conduct
Local Network

Expected Behaviour:

● Respect all community members regardless of background, identity, or experience.
● Refrain from discrimination, harassment, or bullying in any form.
● Actively participate in community activities.
● Consider the impact of your words and actions.
● Foster open communication and constructive feedback.
● Abide by community policies and guidelines.

Unacceptable Behaviour:

● Harassment, discrimination, or bullying based on race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender,
age, religion, disability, etc.
● Derogatory or demeaning language or content.
● Sharing private or personal information without consent.
● Disrupting community events or online spaces.
● Non-compliance with community policies and guidelines.

Reporting:

● Report any violations to the community via email (hello@localnetwork.tech).
● An anonymous reporting form will also be available to the community members.
● Contact the community for any concerns or uncertainty.

Consequences of Breaking the Code of Conduct:

● Violations will be considered promptly.
● Consequences may include but are not limited to, verbal or written warnings, suspension of community privileges, or expulsion from the community.
● Repeat offenders will face more severe consequences.
● The community manager will determine the appropriate course of action based on the circumstances of each case.

Transparency and Process:

● A transparent process for reporting, monitoring, and taking appropriate action will be in place.
● The process will be evident, impartial, and accessible to everyone in the community.

Training and Resources:

● Training, education, and resources will be provided to understand the code of conduct, rights, and community expectations.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion:

● A specific person will be responsible for monitoring and addressing issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the community.
● Members are encouraged to speak up when feeling underprivileged or marginalized.

By following this code of conduct, we aim to create a safe and inclusive community where everyone can feel welcome and valued.

What You’ll Be Doing

Coordinate with our internal team to fully understand the candidate’s technical background

Optionally contribute to ongoing project work post-hire

Manage 2–3 roles at a time, depending on your bandwidth

What We’re Looking For

Native or fluent English speaker with excellent communication skills

Solid understanding of software engineering (web, backend, cloud, etc.)

Confidence in both behavioral and technical interview settings

Availability for ongoing remote collaboration
